The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. onson robot vacuum 's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the hidden bin, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a specific route.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.
